Our Work Has Begun!
The preparatory work for the “Friendly Üsküdar with Inclusive Approach” project has started at full speed. Before moving to the implementation phase of our project, a comprehensive analysis and planning is carried out in line with the needs and expectations of our participants. All details such as the content of the trainings, the organisation processes of the workshop activities and the creation of the mentoring network are carefully handled for the successful implementation of our project.
“Friendly Üsküdar with a Participatory Approach” project aims to increase the capacity of Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) and members of the Host Community to effectively participate in business life as entrepreneurs. “Friend Üsküdar with Inclusive Approach” project is being implemented within the ENHANCER Project which is funded by the European Union and conducted by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in coordination with the Directorate General of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.
Üsküdar Municipality, as the Project Executor, has taken important steps within the scope of the project. The main objectives of the project were identified, the interview process with potential participants was decided and the implementation process of the project was planned.
The project team has carried out significant research and started cooperation negotiations with experts in order to create training programmes suitable for the needs of the participants. Various training topics such as Business Turkish Training, Applied Industrial Design Training, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Training and Entrepreneurship Acceleration Training have been determined and content creation works have started.
In addition, a suitable application area was identified for the project. Atölye Üsküdar Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre has a central location where the project activities will be held. It was decided to organise its physical and technical infrastructure in accordance with the requirements of the project.
The project team endeavoured to ensure the comfort and safety of the participants by taking the necessary measures for the organisation and coordination of the events. In addition, the promotion and communication strategies of the project have been determined and efforts have been started to reach the target audience effectively.
The planned training date range was determined as August – December 2023. During this period, the trainings will be carried out in face-to-face and online formats, providing maximum flexibility to the participants.
The project team will carry out continuous evaluations and implement necessary improvements to ensure that the “Friendly Üsküdar with Participatory Approach” project has a positive impact on the society and gains sustainability. The realisation of this project will contribute to the strengthening of cooperation and mutual understanding between Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) and members of the Host Community and increase social cohesion.
