“Friend Üsküdar with Inclusive Approach” Project: Sailing to New Horizons with Mentor Network!
“Friend Üsküdar with Inclusive Approach” is being implemented within the ENHANCER Project which is funded by the European Union and conducted by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in coordination with the Directorate General of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.
As the “Friend Üsküdar with an Inclusive Approach” project, we aim to bring together Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) and members of the Host Community to show a strong example of solidarity and social cohesion. In this process, as the project team, we are taking an important step to increase the entrepreneurial capacity of our participants and pave the way for their success with a mentor.
Mentoring Network: A New Support Platform
Within the scope of the “Friendly Üsküdar with Participatory Approach” project, we have initiated our efforts to create a mentoring network that will guide and support our participants. Mentoring is the process of guiding newcomers on their entrepreneurial journey by sharing the experiences of experienced and expert people.
The mentoring network aims to help both Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) and members of the Host Community to develop their skills and maximise their potential. In this way, our participants will move forward with confidence to take stronger and more successful steps in the business world.
Who are our mentors?
Our mentors within Atölye Üsküdar consist of volunteers who are specialised in different fields, have experience in the business world and are willing to contribute to the society. Entrepreneurs, academics and professionals operating in the sector constitute the pillars of our mentoring network.
Our mentors are carefully selected to inspire our participants, guide them towards their goals and increase their motivation by sharing their own experiences. Their knowledge and experience will be a bridge to the success of our participants.
How will the Mentoring Process Work?
The mentoring process will be customised according to the needs of our participants and will be carried out within the framework of their personal development plans. Our participants will have regular one-to-one meetings with their mentors, ask questions and share their experiences.
Our mentors will understand the goals of our participants and provide them with career planning, job opportunities and sectoral information support. At the same time, they will help our participants discover their strengths and maximise their potential.
Sailing to New Horizons Together!
As the “Friend Üsküdar with Inclusive Approach” project, we aim to support the success of our participants and create a strong cooperation environment through our mentor networking activities. As Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) and members of the Host Community, we will sail to new horizons together and contribute to social cohesion.
The mentors who will take part in our project are expected to be experts in the entrepreneurship and design sector, preferably fluent in Arabic and/or familiar with Syrians under Temporary Protection. If you would like to join our project as a mentor and guide new entrepreneurs, please contact us using our contact details.
Let’s take strong steps together and make a positive contribution to the society with the “Friend Üsküdar with Inclusive Approach” project!
